The adhesive dries strong and won't creep, and is easily reversible with water. Tear off the length you need and use a small brush to moisten the adhesive with some water. Wait for the adhesive to absorb moisture and become sticky, then apply this adhesive tape to the back of the artwork. To remove, apply enough water to saturate the tape. Wait (patiently) for the water to penetrate the paper and adhesive, then remove and clean up any residue with water.
